Dr. Wolfe was boarded by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1992, the American Board of Anesthesiology in 1996, and the American Board of Pain Medicine in 1997.
Dr. Wolfe received his medical degree at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in March 1989. He also trained after medical school at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Dr. Wolfe served residencies in Internal Medicine at University Hospital of Stony Brook, New York, VA Medical Center of Northport, New York, and in Anesthesiology at Ohio State University Hospitals of Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Wolfe was the chairman of anesthesiology department at Samaritan Regional Health System, Ashland, Ohio from 1995-2001. He served as the assistant medical director for quality assurance in 1999-2000 and as the medical director for quality assurance in 2000-2001.
Dr. Wolfe served as an intensivist at Mansfield General Hospital from 1993 to 1995. He founded the Mansfield General pain management service of the department of anesthesiology in 1995. The service became MedCentral PainCare in 2001 at which time Dr. Wolfe became the fulltime medical director. Dr. Wolfe remains an active medical staff member at OhioHealth MedCentral but has worked in his private practice, MidOhio PainCare since 2010.
Dr. Wolfe was raised in Olivesburg, Richland County, Ohio. He graduated from Crestview High School in 1981. He graduated from the College of William and Mary of Williamsburg, Virginia in 1985. Dr. Wolfe is married and has four children, a daughter and three sons. Dr. Wolfe lives in Ashland, Ohio and also has a farm just outside Pavonia, Ohio. He serves on the Ashland City School Board of Education.
